 St Francis de Asis "Welcome to Taos, The Soul of the Southwest. Taos is a place..., a reasonably small town in northern New Mexico. People come here today to visit the numerous art galleries, see the Taos Pueblo - the Taos Pueblo dates back one thousands years or more, the old Saint Francis de Asis church in Ranchos de Taos, the Rio Grande Gorge, and to simply enjoy the special feeling of getting away from the usual and the norm.
Taos is the mountain we live beneath. Many say that they have come here to heal. It is a sacred place. The mountain, it is said, will 'spit you out' if you are not meant to be here. The mountains are monumental. It is a place where synchronicity happens every day. People speak of 'knowing' and 'feeling'. It is a spiritual place and has drawn peoples here for centuries. It is obviously a place of great beauty. The light is magical. The air is pristeen. It is a major marketplace for artists and collectors from all over the Southwest and the country.  Flying Over Taos Video (4min 12sec). Have you ever wanted to fly over Taos in a small plane? Take off from and land at Taos Municipal Airport with Pavel Lukes, Ellary Simms, and J. R. Ransom in a 1959 Beechcraft Bonanza K-35 V-tail. Check out the whole town, Taos Plaza, the mountains - A Beautiful Sight!
You get an almost perfect view of Taos from the air. Taos, Plaza, El Torreon Hacienda, The Rodeo Grounds and Baseball field. Flying in Taos is great for viewing your perspective Real Estate purchase and several Real Estate agents take buyers up into the skies of Taos. Flying in Taos is also just plain fun. There are some other airports around (such as Angel Fire) where light planes can land....
There are great views of the mountains, the whole town, as well as views of El Torreon Hacienda, the historic La Lomita section, El Monte Sagrado, Pavel's new office building over by the High School's ball field, and the area west of town.
